Israel moves to seal off West Bank as UN voices alarm

UNICEF counts over 340 children killed in Gaza in the year since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was announced.

Israel has moved to close off the occupied West Bank following a lethal attack on Israeli soldiers in Hebron, a West Bank city, UN News reported. The United Nations said it was "extremely alarmed" by the intensifying violence in the territory. The closure comes a little over a year after a ceasefire agreement between Hamas fighters and Israel was announced, and by UNICEF's count over 340 children were reported killed in Gaza in that time.
